May Discoveries...

Here are some pictures of things that I've been discovering over the last week or so...

Above, a purple blooming Spiderwort - love getting close enough to see the details...

I love the way the pedals are folded over like little pieces of paper...

And when unfolded... (above)

Weird fun little mushrooms growing in the shady parts of the garden...

Starting to get some blooms in the garden...

The May Apple Bloom - side view...

The American Goldfinches have shed their dull overwintering coat for this wonderful yellow...
Don't worry little birds, lots of Zinnia & Cone Flower Seeds will be here soon enough too...

These were bright green about a month or so ago - now they are looking a bit like little seed beads in my favorite color palette (and size 11's).
Friend plug for Leslie of Twisted Sistah Beads & Fibers...
She always has the best seed beads (she feeds my addiction)...

  2. Is the mushroom edible? The purple Spiderwort is interesting i am planning to plant soon, probably this coming spring. It will look nice beside my lavender wooden shed. What do you think?
